Found Shinsenkai almost by accident and it was certainly the 'surprise package' of our 5 days in Osaka... quirky to the max. It felt retro and edgy... and the perfect backdrop to the Kushikatsu experience. Great beer drinking food. Will be back again soon and staying close to this area.

It spins me out that people leave their belongings outside the room they stay in, where any random person walking past could potentially take it. I get that Japan is a relatively safe place and has very low crime, but if there are other travelers staying there, who knows if they're going to steal your belongings. I'd be super paranoid about that >.>

Like #147 I love Korean Air too Christine. The food and service is hard to beat. ICN terminal 2 is pretty nice. I personally like how Skyteam and Star Alliance got divided. Terminal 1 still has a ton more passengers and I think that’s primarily because there are so many Asian passengers using budget airlines that go back and forth to terminal one. Soooo jealous that you got to fly on a 747-800!!!!! I’ve been on plenty of 400’s but still not a 800 yet. I hope I didn’t fly my last flight on the Queen of the Skies. Did you know I shot a commercial of Incheon Airport several years ago? That was one of the funnest gigs I’ve ever had. A wonderful video as always. Can’t wait for the next one.

@GRRRLTRAVELER | Christine Kaaloa yes and it was the best airline food. Thai Airways served massaman curry and penang curry. Both actually very flavorful. Only thing I didn't like was that the plane seemed old and the seats, while they had a lot of room, the seats were a little hard. I took them from Tokyo to Bangkok two months ago.

I've been to Thailand many times and never been scammed by a taxi driver. I find Thai people to be honest and kind. They are Buddhist so they are good people. Asking you to pay 500 baht isn't really a scam. He's asking you to be generous if you can easilly afford it. Some people are happy to pay extra. You were free to decline. It's not as if he was coercing you or intimidating you. Good tip making sure the meter is on if you want the cheap rate but I don't like your attitude insinuating you were unsafe. Believe me you were never in any danger.
