i am from kolkata and every bengali is fond of eating for me the best food we can is on the streets its a bit messy but that gives this a character that many restaurant lacks

i had been to kolkotta in 90"s, stayed in hindusthan hotel somewhere ,guess howra , i had idly saambar . it was too good than what we gave in south . i had kati roll that too good . i still remember that .

Christine is a very brave woman eating those street foods cooked by Unsanitary filthy street food vendors. Is it me or did anyone here ever saw ANY vendor who had plastic gloves on their hands serving their food!? You gotta have an Cast Iron stomach just about to digest all of those street foods that you have no idea on how it was prepared. I'm brave but I'm not crazy for there's a line that I would never cross.

Sorry to say you didn't get actual flavour of street food. Worst volunteer ever.
